1 Timothy 2: A Community of Peace
1 Timothy 2 contains some of the most hotly contested verses in the New Testament which is ironic – it’s all about living in peace! This chapter has some wonderful things to say about how the Church contributes toward peace in society and how men and women can uniquely contribute toward peace in the Church. The point of all this is that peace is good for the gospel. God wants all people to be saved, He’s entrusted His Church with the message of salvation and the best way for us to share that message is when we have relationships characterised by peace.
