Bevan’s Story

My story is outwardly unremarkable, there’s no drama, no earth shattering changes.

I wasn’t looking for God, I didn’t have some longing for something that was missing in my life.

I wasn’t running away from a previous life, I wasn’t caught up in a lifestyle that I was trying to escape.

One day as I was sitting in church listening to the sermon, God appealed to me in a very real way.

I didn’t have to consider it, even though the words the preacher spoke were not particularly persuasive, they were just real and true. God met me that day in a very real way (again no flash of lightning, no earth tremors), but it was so real that I could not deny His existence and His love for me.

My experience was at the age of four, so was not born out of rational thought or logic as intellects would portray it, but my experience told me God has demonstrated genuine love and acceptance and continues to do so.

My journey has not been easy, life has its ups and downs, as is everyone’s experience, but all through my life God has shown me more about who He is.

The adventure that just gets better and better.
