The Easter Promise pt 5 – Food that Really Satisfies
The Ark of the Covenant symbolised some amazing promises that God gave His people, the Israelites. All these promises are fulfilled in Jesus in a much more incredible way than anyone could have predicted. In this message we look at the pot of manna that was placed in the ark and reflect on what manna – bread from heaven – meant for the people of Israel. Jesus then goes on to announce that He is the true bread from Heaven! This has a huge impact on how we see Jesus and how will live our daily lives. It gives us the opportunity to trade in lives of frustration and futility as we try to make life work on our own; and to start experiencing true satisfaction from the only one who can fulfil the desires of our hearts.
