Go Equipped for Battle!
“You cannot know what prayer is for until you know that life is war.” – John Piper
War is not something we choose for our lives. It’s dangerous, demanding and uncomfortable. But if you find yourself in one you’d better be equipped!
As we prepare to move into a new season of life and mission as one church in two congregations we need to recognise that we’re going into battle together. To help us do that, we tune into Ephesians 6 where the Apostle Paul concludes his letter with a rousing call to prayerful action. As we’re aware of the bigger story that we’re part of we can avoid becoming casualties of the devil’s schemes; and play our part in the advance of God’s kingdom.
