1 Corinthians 12: How the Spirit Defines and Describes Us
1 Corinthians 12 gives a beautiful picture of what the Church is like – it’s the Body of Christ! It’s an easy concept to understand, but a challenging one to live out. As we take a look at 1 Corinthians 12 we see Paul first address what it is that defines all of those who belong to the Body, then some ways to describe different parts of the body. Big picture, both what defines the Body and describes the different parts of it is the activity of the Spirit. The chapter is a guide for us to experience in community the activity of the Holy Spirit that builds us all to maturity in Christ.
